Best Western Cocoa Inn

I arrived late and joined my son, so I was very tired. The next morning
I got up, got dressed and we left for home. I did not see the area surrounding.

Not great part of town. Not the place you imagine for Cocoa florida.

The front desk check clerk was rude. The room was not very clean, it was musty and the refrigerator didn't work. There were what appeared to be hookers working the end unit. The pool was okay but not great. The breakfast room was too small to accommodate more than 30 guest and it was nearly impossible to get near the food. The washing machines were locked up, I had asked at the front desk where they were located and the man sent me to a locked room, when I returned to tell him that it was locked, he said, that he'd have to unlock it. Hotel had maybe two working staircases,
black stains on all of the towels, broken safe in corner, broken ice machines, and many other failures in the areas of comfort.

The hotel staff was excellent very friendly and tried to help as much as possible. My family had three rooms and the AC did not work in any of them. My door was so hard to open that it would take us 10 minutes to get into our door (it would stick and sometimes the key would not work) all of us ended up getting new room keys. The room was nice, but the cleaning people only changed the sheets, and we wanted the spread changed. There were roaches and baby roaches there. It was a roach in the fridge too. We had to keep our food in the microwave. It was the only place they were not. ...read more

The rooms are decent although they checked us in to a room without a working air-conditioner and expected us to wait in the hot room and watch the workers replace the unit. The manager argued when I requested to switch rooms the staff is not friendly. ...read more
